Not a LYAN Post.
Apr. 7th, 2008 10:19 pmMark Penn was kinda-sorta-maybe fired from his post as chief strategist for the Hillary Clinton campaign... but I don't feel like talking about that.
Barack Obama reveals in an interview that he went to school for a while in Pakistan as a kid... but I don't feel like talking about that.
The polls in Pennsylvania continue to close, with the notoriously bad ARG poll showing a perfect tie... but I don't feel like talking about that.
John McCain's speech about how Iraq is going so wonderfully well we can never leave was interrupted by CNN for breaking news about yet another shelling of the Green Zone in Bagdad... but I don't feel like talking about that, either.
I've just been too busy for politics of late.
I'll just mention the updated Magic Superdelegate Number for Obama and be done. (To remind you, this is the number more superdelegates Obama needs to win the nomination, provided that all remaining pledged delegates split 50/50 between Obama and Clinton. It's the number, in other words, beyond which the remaining non-endorsing superdelegates cannot unite and throw the nomination to Clinton.
The Magic Superdelegate Number, as of today, is now 102. That's down four over the weekend, and it does NOT count the DNC member and state party vice-chair of North Dakota, who had to retract her endorsement due to state party primary rules. Most of the gain comes from "add-on" superdelegates named by state parties; several were named over the weekend, and only one (Arkansas) is a Clinton supporter.
Yo, Hillary?
Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick.
Ah, well. Got a lot of stuff done today, but the main thing- writing script for comics- didn't get far. I'll try again tomorrow, which will be the last chance before CoastCon this weekend, since Wednesday will be loading and preparation.
