The water is reclaimable from the exhaust, so there's not such a problem in dry places. The big problem is mobile storage - you get something like 1/4 the energy density by volume, so that a conventional sized tank only takes you 50-75 miles in most vehicles.

The other things you say are largely accurate, but with the storage issue they favor electric and fuel cell vehicles.
