• 12:51:38: @choochoobear It used to be a rule in some Christian churches, too- esp. Greek Orthodox. Look up the word "iconoclast."
  
• 12:52:40: @choochoobear The reason was, images of ANY sort were generally thought to hold power. Photos stealing souls, golden calves, etc.
