OK, it's official: SciFi sucks.

Starting Feb. 13, 9 AM, the NBC soap opera Passions will rerun on the Sci-Fi Channel.

If you don't know why I'm both horrified and disgusted by this, consider yourselves fortunate.

See, that's crap because Passions is as much SciFi as I am a church going girl.

Well, since it has witches and homonunculi and demons and what-all, it's fantasy and that counts.

More important, SciFi is a wholly owned subsidiary of NBC...

It's still crap. It bugs the crap out of me that the show is even on the air. I have enough crap to deal with since my family can't be bothered to find out what I really believe in; I don't need some half assed drivel from network TV to further their misconceptions. :D Can we just smite them?

Unfortunately, it's a lot more SciFi than some stuff SFC has run in recent years. Although I can't help but think this is a direct response to accusations that certain other SFC shows that shall remain nameless are soap operas. "No, that isn't a soap opera...THIS is!" :)

If they want to do a soap opera that fits the station, then they should show Dark Shadows :-)
