Support Bootleg #13 NOW!!
Jun. 9th, 2005 01:57 pmJust a reminder, folks.
Bootleg #13 is in PREVIEWS, the pre-order catalog, RIGHT THIS MINUTE.
You need to go to your local comic store AT ONCE and preorder copies. If you can't, contact Mile High Comics or Fantagraphics Books or your other mailorder outlet of choice and request Bootleg #13.
Bootleg #13's new 64-page format is our last attempt to avoid (a) going to graphic novels only and (b) abandoning all the short material and pinups in our comics. If Bootleg doesn't at least come close to breaking even, WLP might abandon the print comic market altogether.
Which means those of you who read WLP's stuff will have to figure out how to stash your computer between the mattresses.
And nobody wants that (except Bill Gates maybe).

Oh, I forgot...
Jun. 9th, 2005 03:43 pm... we announced the SECRET PROJECT at the room party Friday Night at A-Kon.
WLP has licensed the parody "Not Ninja High School," including all the Velvet Touch and Happy Jackal old fanzine stuff.
The portfolio that gave so much trouble last Thursday night / early Friday morning was "Not Ninja High School Version 2.0 Specifications," by NovaBlade Studios. The other is "Not Ninja High School Version 2.0 Beta Test," by Ben Du... er, "Magma."
Both are $20 plus tax, both are limited to 50 copies, and both are already down almost between a third and a half of their print runs.
More stuff to come as we get it in... next week I have to script up the NNHS Version 2.0 story for artist...
