LinuCon Report, Plus Power Update:

LinuCon Good Point #1: Meeting Howard Taylor. A cool person, in a very understated sort of way.
LinuCon Good Point #2: Brushing past, briefly, Steve Jackson, who accidentally discovered the notes for Huckster while I was gaming Saturday night.
Other than that, and a couple of good gaming experiences (and one not-so-good one- Twilight Imperium is NOT worth eighty of MY dollars), it's a weekend I'd much rather have back.
Got home to learn that power should be restored to my house sometime this week- possibly as early as tomorrow, but not likely. Unfortunately, the cousins did not throw out all the food in the freezers. With the generator having blown a bearing, that means that when the power comes back on I shall have a very, very smelly job indeed.
Oh, one financial note: I've blown $200 in gas since Rita. I'm moving rapidly AWAY from my money goal of $2500 for Bootleg #13, which is rapidly approaching its absolute drop-dead date. I REALLY hope folks donate, or that I get a shitload of money at OniCon...
