Is Someone Trying to Tell Me Something?
Mar. 15th, 2006 11:10 amOkay- my father died on February 26, 1998. It's been eight years. I still have variants of the "Dad's not dead" dream no less than once per month.
Last night was the first "Dad's just died recently" dream I've ever had, though, and it was... well... peculiar.
Y'see, in my dream my father had been... a webcomic artist. The creator of something more or less a cross (if such is possible) between Polymer City Chronicles and Wapsi Square. Furthermore, the commentary about his death, for some bizarre reason, included comments about how -his- comic was the kind of comic WLP could only -dream- of having.
Just so you know, my father was hard-pressed to turn a computer on, never mind operate one. He was not an artist by trade or inclination. The odds of him becoming a webcomic creator had he lived, quite frankly, are ludicrously long.
There are quite a few things disturbing about that dream, the biggest one being I can't remember a damn thing about the title or content of the strip itself...
