... can't say much, since this time instead of spending all con at a table selling things, I spent virtually all of it in the game room as a volunteer.

Games Run: WLP playtest of Sakura; WLP playtest of Eternal Battle GZ; Ninja Burger (twice); Risk: One World Dominion; Settlers of Cataan (a loaner copy: I REALLY want my own copy, and all expansions, but that costs close to $200); Guillotine

Games Played: Ra, Ingenious, Frag (very, very briefly; I hate FPSs, be it computer or tabletop gaming), Knightmare Chess, Starfarers of Cataan, Bosworth.

Games Didn't Get to Play: Civil War Risk (I spent way too much time prepping for a game that never ran, dammit.)

The games coordinator asked me if I'd like to take over next year- running the con's gaming myself. I'm tempted, but I certainly can't commit until the transmission's changed out in the Exploder, and that'll be August minimum.

ApolloCon is currently the only con I go to that has no (apparent) con security, a con ops that closes at night... I went down at about 8:30 AM Sunday to throw my bags in Con Ops while I got breakfast, before opening up gaming. There was a sign on the (locked) con ops door saying "Open 8:00 AM." The hotel unlocked all the con activity rooms, including ops, at about 9:00 AM; I was the only con volunteer (and my badge was not a volunteer badge) present. I hung around a few minutes in con ops, then outside the door watching and waiting (and, entirely by accident, watching the art show doors as well). At length another volunteer showed up and I hustled over to Jack in da Shack for breakfast.

[livejournal.com profile] morphyloon, your Pixie Stix have been given away. On reflection, it was not the best idea to give them to those under 18. (In fact, I'm thinking a daycare is in order, considering the number of -small- kids who were dropped at the game room's N64 as a substitute babysitter. I shall remember, at least for a week or two, the Hopper, the Chatterbox, and the Victory-Dancer... but that's unfair, since Victory-Dancer played games other than the N64.)

Helped tear down Russ's tables Sunday and police the DR a bit- what I should have helped do Friday, but Russ had to come get me due to various factors. (Russ printed a full-color con shirt, the net results of that experiment being that a reprint of Chichi-chan: Fanservice is put off indefinitely, awaiting certain equipment upgrades. Oh well.) Lack of transport sucks, but hopefully once I get Bootleg off to printer I can see if the ancient brown van works well enough to justify transferring insurance and getting it re-tagged.
