On the way to Liberty for the radio show, saw a bald eagle lazily flap out of the way of my car and into the ditch, where it watched me pass with the usual bird stare of uncomprehending insanity. (For those in the area who may be wondering, this was between Batson and Moss Hill on Texas state Highway 105.) Eagles are a rare sight in general, even here in the middle of a national preserve, and even more so on a highway more or less lined with one house after another on both sides.
The radio show itself lasted about forty minutes. I'm afraid I stuttered a few times when my tongue got ahead of my brain, but all in all I did well. I disposed of the "you do porn?" question in under a minute, even managing to turn it on my opponent. "You don't have to read what I write. You DO have to read the bad laws my opponent wrote and got passed."
But done is done, and I'm glad to be home, and I'm glad to be done with campaigning.
Oh- and here's a reminder of why I like Wapsi Square.
