Obama's magic number is 80 by Clinton math, 20 by the math of the rest of the world.

20 superdelegates, that is.

And not in LYAN format: a few days ago, it was reported that an American soldier in Iraq shot up a copy of the Koran. For this offense the soldier was demoted, removed from his unit, and transferred back to the United States to serve out the remainder of his enlistment.

Lesson learned: if you want out of Iraq, boys and girls, take the word of Mohammed with you to target practice...

... [livejournal.com profile] filkertom reports the death of Robert Lynn Asprin this past morning.

I have no further information- I don't even have verification.

The last time I recall making a post like this for someone who wasn't blood related to me was the false alarm over Hayao Miyazaki. This time, though, I'm inclined to believe it- especially since Bob Asprin was scheduled to be a con guest at MarsCon this weekend.

I have the older MythAdventures books on my shelf- they're what he's best known for, and for my money his best work. I'm considerably saddened to know that he won't be producing any more of them.

Bob, I hope you've gone someplace the IRS can't follow. Godspeed.

(Now please, please don't let this come in threes, like it seems to do oh so often...)
