So, just before OniCon, an artist from Argentina who did some coloring work for WLP requested that his pay be used to buy stuff for him, either a wireless XBox 360 controller or...
... well, the controller would have eaten up his royalties at one shot, so it's the or that was going to happen...
... statuettes of busty anime characters. He specifically pointed out a statuette of Mai Shiranui from Fatal Fury and King of Fighters as an example.
Well, I bought him two, and went significantly over budget in doing so, but I think he'll like what I got him. There was no Mai statuette that I saw at OniCon, but these two characters are also from fighting games and related anime projects.
( Several photos of busty, scantily clad plastic females under the cut. )
Now, what's difficult about this?
What's difficult is, I'm going to have to send these figures away. I'm just fond enough of toys (and far too fond of shapely cartoon women) that, could I spare the money for it, I could make a very expensive habit out of collecting these things myself. Putting these things in a box bound for Argentina is going to be tough, no two ways about it.
But these were not cheap, oh no. For the cost of these two models, I could buy three video games, six or more DVDs, and about a dozen text novels, among many other joys in my life. If it hadn't been for the debt owed, I'd never have laid out money on these.
But now that they're in my possession, however temporarily... well, it hurts sending them on.
Yes, I'm a geeky horndog.
I do have a couple of models of my own, though- and one I've had ordered special made for years but have yet to be able to take delivery on. Soon, soon...
