No value for human life beyond his own, values money above all else, regards any government regulation as communism, and funds candidates steeped in bigotry...

... yep, that's Republican all right.

And that's Don Blankenship, the CEO of the company that owns the company that owns the mine that blew up Monday.

This guy makes Debra Medina look sane.

But if his opponent wins the runoff, the Democrat candidate has zero chance.

But the Democrat might have zero chance regardless...

... I'm looking for advice here.

EDIT: Here's the opponent's campaign website. Technically Texas law prohibits judicial candidates from campaigning based on how they will rule in court, but in practical terms it's an impossible law to enforce. You'll notice the dog-whistle phrases "never legislates from the bench" and "Strictly interprets the law." Also endorsed by Texans for Life. Feh.

As you see here from the endorsement editorial at least two Texas papers ran, she also gets the endorsement of "lawsuit reform" activists. Aside from this, the endorsement is almost entirely, "She's not Rick Green."

Looking at this, I'm more in favor of voting for Green. Odds are he'll be impeached before he finishes a term...
