Invert Democrats and Greens and you've pretty much got my voting strategy. Especially the "leave it blank rather than vote for a Republican" part.

In races where party affiliations are not listed (such as at-large council positions), I tend to vote for either women or people with Latino or Indian names, unless I have significant information about the candidates.

The other thing I do is go by the GLBT Caucus recommendations, on the hypothesis that anyone they're willing to endorse is unlikely to be someone I'd find heinous.
