I haven't lived there in years, but in 1999, a friend of mine in Addison ran a bakery called "Little Slice of Heaven." Friend Mark moved to Seattle in '03, but maybe the shop's still there?

Okay, Google research confirms that there is still a bakery at that location, namely 14819 Inwood. Their phone number and name have changed, though, so caveat croissant.
