The governor in question is a Democrat.
The judge who said that Kentucky can regulate the content of a website not produced or hosted in Kentucky because "no one is above the law" is a Republican appointee.
And, as Radley Balko at Reason points out, if this stands up then porn has to be the next target, if not in Kentucky then in many other states.
Ah well. At least there's a bit of good news: there's a ballot proposition in San Francisco, CA to block public officials from enforcing the state ban on prostitution.
