I have just watched "The Day of the Doctor."

Steve Moffatt has managed, for the first time, to write an episode I have nothing bad to say about whatever. No ass-pull solution; indeed, the solution is set up and internally consistent. I've heard people say things about continuity, but on the contrary- the ep lines up PERFECTLY with what we hear in the opening sequence of "The End of Time." The interaction between the Doctors, and indeed between all the characters, was magical. Yes, there were a couple of minor plot holes, but nothing that couldn't be explained.

It was a good episode. It was a fitting episode to be the fiftieth anniversary.

And I still canNOT believe it came from Steven Moffatt's pen.

That said: now that I've seen Tennant and Smith acting side by side in the same ep, written by the same man: both Tennant's Doctor and Tennant the actor are, in my opinion, the superior- hands down, no debate. When Matt Smith's Doctor is not being serious- which he does pretty well- he's an annoying git. The Tennant Doctor has more true depth, or at least that's how it seems to me.

Great Season 4 Pony debut, great Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special: yesterday was indeed a red-letter day in television.
