Nancy Pelosi knew about waterboarding- and all the other torture- from the beginning.

The rest of the Democratic leadership knew shortly thereafter.

They not only didn't raise a finger to stop it, but some of them even voted for laws to protect those doing it- right up to the 2006 Military Commissions Act.

Want to know why Obama wants to quash any and all torture prosecutions? Here's one damn good reason. His own party is complicit.

Yep, although back then I said it because I was linking the Democrats' behavior in the Clinton impeachment to the Republican behavior in reaction to Bush's crimes. I didn't have the definitive smoking gun that the link above provides.
