A-Kon preparations...

Things that need doing:

* Design flyers/forms for preorder of PitW and donations to support future printing of other GNs
* Assemble images for new/restock badges
* Pick out giveaways of Bootleg and Nipple Magician for A-Kon Hentai-Fest donations
* Pick out stuff for charity auction and prize support
* Restock retail comic stock
* Assemble stock for wholesale comic order(s) at A-Kon
* Pick out and assemble DVD library for party & other showings
* Buy Cokes, styrofoam ice chest, cups, plates, forks, napkins, tablecloth for room party
* Buy more badge clips
* Laundry, pack clothes
* Make list of IA shirts for consignment (need done tomorrow)

This will be interrupted by yard work tomorrow, shopping and then vehicle-swapping and picking up stock on Tuesday. I leave for A-Kon between 5 and 6 AM Thursday, hoping to get to the hotel by 11 and get a good parking space in the garage.

And, of course, there's what needs to be done on Thursday:

* Check into hotel
* Load into dealer's room and set up
* Print flyers, badges, etc.
* Laminate and hole-punch badges
* Insert a generic WLP flyer into each of the Hentaifest giveaway comics

On the whole, looks like a Thursday Star Trek think won't happen. Maybe Sunday evening instead, after dealer teardown.

Having worked Cons when I was younger, I can see that nothing has changed in all the years that have passed.
Cons are fun if:
You have lots of money
You have lots of time
You have nothing else to do that weekend
You aren't sick, and nobody else is either (in your party)
You don't have to work them.
If you have to work a Con, as I remember; it's sort of like having your teeth cleaned...by an entire dental school.
