  • 14:17:19: Yes, I voted. No, I don't think it'll matter. Big two choices: spineless liars or fascist thugs. Neither side wants to help the little man.
  • 14:18:42: Despite this, I'm EXTREMELY depressed about tonight's probable outcome: voters DELIBERATELY choosing corruption and injustice.
  • 14:19:52: Also depressed (and appalled) at how many races I voted on with practically no knowledge. Media FAIL at informing voters...
  • 14:20:52: ... and system FAIL at leaving things to the electorate which the electorate is absolutely unqualified to judge (judges, school boards).
  • 14:21:54: Leave education to EDUCATORS (except for funding issues), and limit voting on judges to kicking out bad ones, is how I feel.
  • 14:23:03: And how counterproductive to justice is making every judge position in Texas a PARTISAN race? Justice for Republicans only? FEH.
  • 14:26:43: On the national level: GOP House guaranteed, Senate not totally out of reach. Government shutdown in 2011 certain.
  • 14:28:51: My odds: Liebermann even money to defect to GOP; Ben Nelson 3:1 against; Max Baucus 8:1 against. Remember them when counting.
  • 15:07:50: @choochoobear That explains a lot... particularly the "not answering email" thing.
  • 17:34:33: @carsonfire And there goes one of only two honest men remaining in the Senate (Bernie Sanders being the other).
  • 18:11:25: @carsonfire True, but most people I see/hear saying that today are Democrats obviously whistling past the graveyard.
  • 19:04:37: @carsonfire And Rand Paul being in any position of authority whatever is good... how?
  • 19:34:15: @carsonfire I'm not certain this country will SURVIVE to the next election; tea party aiming for government shutdown.
  • 19:46:12: @carsonfire All they have to do is not pass a budget. All budget bills have to start in the House... and it'll be a GOP controlled House.
  • 19:49:45: @carsonfire They passed temporary extensions to keep gov't running until after election. GOP already said they'll try to block EVERYTHING.
  • 20:01:22: @carsonfire This time the GOP won't compromise; we'll have to survive a full year or more of no fed gov't, no Social Security, Medicare.
  • 20:07:47: @carsonfire No, it wouldn't. It only takes one house to say no to everything, and nothing can be passed. No budget = no government.
  • 21:55:25: @carsonfire There's a reason: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/dn/latestnews/stories/102210dnmetbroden.1b2338185.html
  • 22:15:02: And it looks like America has voted for the greater evil. We continue on the road to a banana republic- or national destruction.
