Yeah.
I really, REALLY want to attend the Consortium of Genius's 15th anniversary party. I THINK- emphasis on the word- I can just about cover it if I burn all my rewards points on Priceline. (I've just reserved a very cheap hotel room two or three blocks from the club the party/concert's at- reviews say it's a bit of a rat hole, but it's only for one night.) Even so, it still represents resources, and at least some actual money, out of my pocket when I've had two significant financial setbacks in a row.
Any of you in the Houston or Dallas areas interested in going? It would entail coming to my place, dropping off your car, and going in my van (22-23 MPG hwy), even split on gas and hotel costs. I'd like to get there reasonably early, so I can get into a COG-celebratory outfit and haul my laptop, mike, and power supply to the club to record the concert.
In the meantime, I'd better see about translating another Kouzou Shimokata story and putting it on Superboobs Online for sale in the next day or two to get quick cash inbound... and try to finish the next Mu Beta Epsilon installment...
EDIT: And, of course, most of you didn't see this because of LJ being down for over TWO DAYS. Grr...
EDIT2: Did I say two days? Try FIVE. Which means I'd need somebody to show up in, oh, the next HOUR AND A HALF. And it's two hours from Houston to here. So much for defraying costs, and fuck you very much whoever DDOS'd LJ.
