redneckgaijin... I stopped in to a Wal-Mart on Friday after taking my grandmother to the doctor. The Wal-Mart in Livingston had a large table full of remaindered books- clearance markdown, and mostly books I hadn't seen in this Wal-Mart before.
Most of it was crap, at least to me, but on top of the pile was a single, solitary copy of The Bromeliad Trilogy for $4, which I snapped up at once.
For those who haven't read it, this isn't as silly and biting as any Discworld book; it's much more serious, at least as serious as any book about nomes trying to puzzle out the human world can be.
Still good for the price, though. Livingston doesn't have any more copies, but it's possible your local Wallyworld might.
