Hurricane watch here in the back woods...
Aug. 26th, 2012 10:37 pmIsaac's projected track has been drifting westward.
As of 10 PM tonight (Sunday) the center of the cone of probability showed landfall in New Orleans late Tuesday night.
HOWEVER... that cone was extrapolated from seven computer models. Four of the seven models show a landfall west- quite a bit west- of New Orleans.
One shows a landfall in Sabine Pass, and three show the storm hitting at least part of east Texas as it makes its way northwest and then north.
I may be driving to Dallas just barely ahead of a near-miss Category 3 hurricane if that track projection keeps drifting westward...
