Yet another dumb survey.

1. Elaborate on your default icon.
It's a portrait I had done at Wal-Mart for eight bucks in 2004. I wasn't fond of the dark background, but every other take in that session, when I tried to smile, came out AWFUL.
2. What's your current relationship status?
Single, unavailable due to circumstances. (1. Dirt, dirt poor. 2. Related to virtually every female human being in a 30-mile radius, maybe more. 3. Live-in caretaker of a 90-year-old grandmother.)
3. Ever have a near-death experience?
If you mean, did I see the light we're all supposed to go towards, no. Near -brushes- with death, twice- once wrecking my stepfather's pickup in high school, once spending two nightmarish days with fever and flu or possibly pneumonia contracted walking a mile one-way to a job that I lost due to that illness.
4. Name an obvious quality you have.
I have a low bullshit tolerance.
5. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
Duet, "My heart," Oedipus Tex: a Choral Calamity by P. D. Q. Bach
6. Any celeb you would marry?
Don't really pay attention to "celebrities." Celebrities are people who are famous but don't do anything important.
7. Who will cut and paste this first?
Since I couldn't cut and paste it from the guy I got it from, likely no one; however, most likely propogators are, in this order,

8. Name someone with the same birthday as you.
Living, Kirstie Alley. Dead, Hermann Goering.
9. Do you have a crush on someone?
Not at the moment.
10. Have you ever vandalized someone else's private property?
Mmmm... the closest I've come would be clearing branches out of my path while doing a nature walk on someone else's land. I'd call that a no.
11. Have you ever been in a fight?
Yes, but not since high school.
12. Have you ever sung in front of a large audience?
Yes, but rarely. The last audience of any significance I sung in front of was at O-Chibi-Con last year, when I decided to take the mike to stall at their Friday night "Scantily Clad Cosplay." Quite frankly, my rendition of Tom Lehrer's "Smut" was vastly more entertaining than five people, three male, only one of whom had any apparent concept of either cosplay or being scantily clad.
13. What's the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
In order: boobs, waist, nose.
14. What do you usually order from Starbucks'?
An explanation for how and why those people can charge ungodly prices for foul lukewarm beverages. (No, I don't drink coffee, and if I did it would NOT be Starbucks'.)
15. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose?
Yes. My self-esteem in school was well into negative territory. To this day I still regard the cliche, "Childhood is the best time of your life," as a bald-faced LIE.
16. Say something totally random about yourself.
I don't understand why so many people hate Carlos Mencia- he picks on EVERYBODY, including himself.
17. Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity?
Yes- Torgo.
18. Do you wear a watch? What kind?
No. When I wear a watch or jewelry, it becomes the focus of massive fidgeting. I can't resist taking it off, putting it back on, taking it off, etc. and in very short time I lose it. I haven't owned a watch in close to a decade.
19. Do you have anything pierced?
No, and you can just get the hell away from me with that rusty icepick.
20. Do you have any tattoos?
See above.
21. Do you like pain?
(sarcasm) Oh my YES, I just ADORE pain, that's why I have the 500-pill bottle of acetaminophen by my elbow. (/sarcasm) NO I don't like it!
22. Do you like to shop?
No. My favorite part of any store, except a bookstore, comic store, or gaming store, is the EXIT. (Mostly because I seldom have money I can spare to spend.)
23. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
Breakfast Friday, driving my grandmother 80 miles to Lufkin for her cardiac stress test.
24. What was the last thing you paid for with your credit card?
If you count debit cards, Bootleg #15 print bill. I haven't had an unsecured credit card in a couple years now.
25. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
Calling here, Livingston Wal-Mart pharmacy- they found my grandmother's lost prescription medicines from last week. Calling out, technical support at the Texas Ethics Commission.
26. What is on your desktop background?
Clouds. Since under normal circumstances I can only see the edges, that's all I need.
27. What is the backgrond on your cel phone?
My phone's too primitive for backgrounds.
28. Do you like redheads?
As a general rule I don't have any hair color preference.
29. Do you know any twins?
Not since high school.
30. Do you have any weird relatives?
I'm the weird relative for the rest of my family.
31. What was the last movie you watched?
(In theater) Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at an IMAX theater. Great movie, but NOT suited for IMAX, not when most of the scenes appear to stutter-skip.
(At home) Porco Rosso.
32. What was the last book you read?
Black Orchids, Rex Stout, finished last night. Currently dividing reading time between Look Away! A History of the Confederate Government by William Davis, Trio for Blunt Instruments by Red Stout, and 1862 by Robert Conroy. (And already quite unfond of the last one.)
