... then she's in deep, deep, DEEP trouble.
Grey Davis was just on MSNBC, repeating his predicting of a double-digit Clinton victory in California. He's endorsed Clinton, and he's making the surrogate circuit as "the last Democratic governor of California."
Um... excuse me?
Wasn't Grey Davis recalled by close to a 60-40 vote split?
And wasn't his unpopularity in his state caused by repeated clueless expressions of boundless optimism, such as denial of the existence of an energy crisis for example?
Wasn't his credibility as a public figure pretty much destroyed?
And, considering all this, why in the hell would any campaign choose, of its own free will, to put this person in front of a camera for pundit interviews?
It's not like Clinton's hard up for California spokespersons. Both California's Senators are in her back pocket, and either of them- yes, even Dianne "Guns for Me but Not for Thee" Feinstein- would be more credibly than Gray Fucking Davis.
(Oh: and discussing today's Return of the Weepy Woman Clinton moment, I heard a (female) talking head almost quote the Six Words from Doctor Who that, in that story, destroyed a Prime Minister: "Don't you think she looks tired?" How I wish that would happen...)
Oh well. The states to watch tomorrow for trends: Delaware and Missouri. The direction Delaware goes will tell us who has the advantage; Missouri will tell us how strong that advantage will be.
