She’s dead…

(Note: This is a backdated post to clear out the old posts from an old blog that's turned into a spambot target, so I need to delete that blog ASAP. If you're not interested in my history, ignore.)
I’ve stayed mostly quiet about Terri Schaivo until now.
Now she’s finally dead. No matter what her parents or her husband do now, they can no longer torture her.
No matter what the politicians do now, they can no longer use her as the rope in a tug-of-war.
No matter what the media does now, she no longer has to endure the cameras poking and prodding, destroying whatever privacy and dignity she had left.
No matter which side of this battle- what should have been a PRIVATE battle- you take, Terri’s role in it is over.
I get irritated by people who wear their religion on their sleeves, esp. the “right to life” zealots currently singing hymns off-key on nationwide TV news…
… but thank you, God, for allowing Terri to escape her suffering at last.
