Re Dark Shadows -- There can be only one! :-) (Oh, and it was earlier than 1970; I was still in elementary school.)

Re Jonny Quest -- if Turner got his paws in it, I wasn't aware of that. There was the original 1960s show, and then there was a 2-hour TV feature back around 1997 or 1998 which gave some of the back-story about Jonny's mother.

"The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest" is what I'm thinking of- a series where Jonny, Hadji, and Race Bannon's daughter are all teens... and any problem, no matter what, can be solved by the use of virtual reality- even when it breaks the laws of physics. (ESPECIALLY when it smashes the laws of physics into itty bitty pieces and whizzes on the fragments...)

Ted Turner bought up Hanna-Barbera in 1991, and the revival Quest was made at his order and, as I understand it, under his direct interference (see also "Captain Planet").
