The automatic cold water shutoff valve inside your washer is a vital piece of machinery.

You do not want to find out that it is broken by walking into your laundry room... your carpeted laundry room... your carpeted laundry room with piles and boxes of clothes of unknown ownership... your carpeted laundry room with piles and boxes of clothes of unknown ownership that also serves as the home of your deep freeze... and finding it half awash in water.

However, circumstances pretty much require that this be the ONLY way you find out that it is broken.

As I did a bit more than an hour ago.

Back to laundry and trying to towel and box-fan out the water...

And to thos whom I have offended in the past, I'm sorry; sometimes I'm an asshole. I realize this and I try to learn from past offenses. But if you don't tell me what I did wrong, I can't fix it- so don't be shy in telling me off.
